The condition that we receive your samples goes along way to determine their ability to meet the Amazon package testing requirements. It is extremely important to follow the instructions included below when submitting a sample for Amazon.com package testing.
Preparing the Test Package – Parcel Delivery
- Mark the packages to be tested with “Test Package” on the outside of the box.
- Send the test samples in a sturdy outer container that is marked “Overpacked Test Package Inside”.
- It is crucial to include material between the packages to be tested and the outer container. This material could be air packets, foam, paper or packing peanuts.
- Include the Keystone Package Testing Quote Number in the shipping documents.
Preparing the Test Package – Freight Shipments
- Mark the packages to be tested with “Test Package” on the outside of the box.
- If possible, send the test samples in a sturdy outer container that is marked “Overpacked Test Package Inside”. Since overboxing is not always a viable option with freight shipments, another solution is overwrapping the test package. Materials that can be used to do this include angle boards, corrugated pads and stretchwrap.
- Band the palletized test pallet onto an extra pallet and use overwrap.
- Inform the lab of which materials should be removed prior to testing. For instance, additional packing, shrinkwrap or an extra pallet.
- Include the Keystone Package Testing Quote Number in the shipping documents.
