Rotational Flat Drop Test

The rotational drop test, per Amazon Ships In Own Container (SIOC) testing, is completed using a measuring device and a flat rigid surface such as concrete or steel. The test is performed by raising one of the sides of the product nine inches off the ground, then releasing it quickly so that it free falls to the ground. The test sequence calls for multiple drops of the product on predetermined sides and orientations that are detailed in the standard. The Amazon SIOC test standard testing considers this test a shock test.
